This week I decided to make organizing baskets to make transitions easier in my class. This way students can easily access the supplies in the basket and aren’t constantly roaming around the room. I got all of the supplies at our local dollar store and it was relatively cheap!

Here’s the finished product!

I made a class set of NC Chemistry Reference tables. The students are allowed to use these on their chem final so I wanted to make sure they are VERY familiar with them! In addition to these copies they each have a smaller copy to keep. Here is a copy you can download for your class!

To hold the tables I tied two strings that they hold up the tables so they aren’t falling all over the place!

In addition to the baskets, I also got these cups at the dollar store which I filled with colored pencils and scissors. I originally kept them held to the basket with rubber-bands and paperclips, however, since the rubber-bands kept breaking I have now switched them to string that holds the cups in place.

I can add needed materials for the day to the basket, and don’t have to keep passing them out or worry about them getting lost throughout the day.

Here’s another few of the finished product! The numbers I taped to the side of the containers are from my TPT store and can be purchased here! My students know that it is their responsibility to keep the baskets organized and neat.

So far, I couldn’t be happier with my organization overhaul! Hope this inspires you to do a little project of your own!
