Tonight ❤️ Tonight Mom came over to celebrate Tonight ❤️ Tonight Mom came over to celebrate a belated Mother’s Day. We ate a tacos, gave simple gifts, watched Kade run around the house, enjoyed the sunset and watched some hockey. I’ve never been one of those girls that “dreamed” and planned out my life. I mean, sure, there were little daydreams; but I honestly never planned out my wedding or longed for the kids I’d have one day. But in all those “non-dreams” I always envisioned this. A life sitting here, on the deck, watching this sunset. My Mom blessed me with the ability to slow down and appreciate the natural world. I am so grateful, and I hope one day my own kid will have that same love and wonder- I think we’re well on the way!
Last weekend was everything ❤️ I got to see s Last weekend was everything ❤️ I got to see some of my favorite people. The kind where you can pickup where you left off but have also “grown up” together. We did “do” much other than spend time catching up, did a hilarious craft, planned future times together and ate some delicious food, but it was perfect. I’m so thankful to have such strong and encouraging people in my corner!

Oh Summer 2023- you did not disappoint! It was a Oh Summer 2023- you did not disappoint! It was a whirlwind of a first summer as a Mom and I got almost zero of the project’s I had planned for the summer accomplished. I was too busy enjoying and I’m totally okay with that! Tomorrow this teacher heads back to work for year 13 in the classroom. Here’s hoping for a smooth transition back to work, remembering to not rush the year and enjoing each moment between now and next summer!

Tonight we were walking upstairs for bedtime when Tonight we were walking upstairs for bedtime when I spotted the sunset. We were past our normal bedtime so it was unusual for him to have a chance to see it. We went outside and without me saying a word Kade pointed at it for a minute and said “night night” and waved at the sun. What a perfect way to celebrate a wonderful year around the sun. ❤️ I tell him everyday but I feel like the luckiest lady in the world to be this smart, inquisitive, brave and funny little guys Mommy! I can’t wait to cheer you on in all that you accomplish! Happy Birthday Mr. Kade! We love you SO much!
