My mint plant was growing out of control so I decided to put it to good use and make some strawberry lime mojitos. Most of the recipe’s I found called for lengthy ingredients I didn’t have so I came up with this simple six ingredient Strawberry Lime Mojito! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
First, you’ll add sugar and a splash of water into the bottom of a highball glass to create a simple syrup. We inherited my grandparents collection of travel glasses but these glasses would be perfect!
Then you’ll add fresh strawberries, mint leaves and lime. If I don’t have any fresh limes I’ll often substitute lime juice here as well.
After you’ve combined all the ingredients muddle them together until their well smushed. We have this muddler and it works perfectly! If you didn’t have one you could also substitute by smashing with a spoon.
Once you’ve muddled all of the fruit into the sugar mixture add about 2oz of white rum. I’ve also made this recipe as a virgin drink by substituting apple juice.
Finally, top of the drink with crushed ice and club soda and enjoy!
