Our guest bathroom is starting to get put back together and it’s time to decide on finishes! I really love hexagon tile and wanted to do a hexagon tile for our master bathroom tile, but decided that it was too small for the floor tile in that space. So, I’m getting my “hexagon fix” upstairs!

If we have enough tile leftover from the master then we will use that on the tub surround, and if not then we will likely use a white subway.

I ordered this gorgeous hexagon tile from the builder depot. I was super nervous about ordering tile online sight unseen but at $9.75/sqft I figured I had nothing to lose. I can tell you I’m so glad I did because I’m literally in LOVE with this tile!

Here are some of the other options we considered:

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

For the bathroom mirror I have the one that we saved from the original bathroom. I plan on building a wood frame much like the one seen here from The Lily Pad Cottage.

I’m thinking of adding shelves above the toilet inspired by the Tale of an Ugly House.

The one major thing I have left to determine is if I should add wainscoting on the wall next to the shower. I love the look of it, but I’m worried that it will make the small entrance to the bathroom feel smaller.

In this bathroom from Infarrantly Creative she just added the wainscoting to one wall. I’m wondering if that would look strange in our space because I do really love the idea of it!

What do you think?? Wainscoting or not?
